The COVID-19 Five

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we move forward in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Iron County C-4 School District has developed a remote learning plan for our students and wanted to share it with you. We are here to support you and your family, and we want to keep the health and safety of your family a top priority. Our goal is to provide learning opportunities for every student to help keep them focused on learning to avoid any learning regression while away from school. This page offers grade-level and course learning options your children can complete at home with the assistance of their teachers. We encourage all students to take advantage of this opportunity when possible.

This site will be the “hub” of our remote learning program. Remote learning began Monday, March 23. Teachers will be available to answer questions via email during the duration of the school closure. Our goal is to continue providing learning opportunities while doing everything in our power to support our students during this time.

You can access the remote learning folders by clicking on the option below that corresponds to your child’s grade level. From there, you will find learning opportunities by class or by teacher.

Pre K/Elementary

Please remember, these learning opportunities are optional and will not be taken for a grade. We understand the uncertainty of this time and do not want to create any additional burden on families. We do, however, want to ensure we have given every student access to additional learning to minimize academic regression.

As well as meeting academic needs, it is also our priority to continue meeting basic needs of our students while away from school. Read this letter to access information about our free meal program. Additionally, our school counselors will be available to meet the emotional needs of our students. You may contact elementary counselor Mellisa Hubbs or junior high/high school counselor Gretchen Hill with any questions or concerns you have regarding the coronavirus.

Finally, please know it is our number one priority to assist and support your families during this time. We are here to answer questions you may have in regards to your child’s learning, emotional security, and access to meals. Do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher, a counselor, or an administrator at any time. We appreciate your support as we take care of one another to keep the spread of the virus as minimal as possible.
