Vision Statement: Viburnum junior and senior high is committed to providing a strong educational foundation
to build a successful culture of lifelong learners.

High School Mission Statement: Empowering Learners, Cultivating Success, Leading Tomorrow.

Junior High Mission Statement: Constructing the framework for success!

Our school is in the Iron County C-4 School District, located in the small town of Viburnum, MO. Our rural community is nestled in the Mark Twain National Forest at the northwest corner of Iron County, and we serve children residing in Crawford and Dent Counties as well.

Our Junior and High Schools consist of approximately 206 students. For a district our size we offer many different varsity athletics and clubs to our students. We are also proud to offer an extensive amount of technology to enhance the educational process. Our goal is to provide our students access to all of the assistance they might need in order to be successful with their post-secondary choices. With that in mind, we are an A+ certified school, we have a district sponsored scholarship program for qualifying students, and we provide access to a variety of courses designed to prepare students. These include locally taught, high-rigor classes, dual enrollment courses through Mineral Area College, and career technical education programs through Arcadia Valley Career Technical Center.

At Viburnum Junior and Senior High we are dedicated to providing a high-quality education for your child. This is documented through our Annual Performance Report issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. We have a motivated staff dedicated to continuously improving our school. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
